Municipal Museum of the Lake

The Museum presents the results of 50 years of excavations carried out in the lake of Sanguinet by the research center (CRESS), on 5 archaeological sites, today submerged. Their presence under water is explained by the progressive formation of the lake during the last three millennia. The visit allows to discover nearly 450 objects, to better understand the life of the men, established during more than 2000 years, at the edges of the lake in formation. Thought in connection with the environment, the course develops the heritage, the underwater archaeology, the environment, around 3 themes "Water, sand and man". Videos and booklets-games allow an interactive approach.
