At the heart of the Conservatoire des Landes de Gascogne heritage site in Sanguinet, discover the first oyster and fisherman's hut to be rebuilt in its original state, and its Arcachon Basin museum.

A reconstructed oyster shack: For the first time in the history of the Bay of Arcachon, an authentic oyster shack destined for demolition has been saved by the association Conservatoire Patrimonial du Bassin d?Arcachon and Les Amis du Conservatoire des Landes de Gascogne in Sanguinet.

Dismantled at the Port of La Teste-de-Buch, it was reassembled in 18 months at the heart of the Conservatoire des Landes de Gascogne site in Sanguinet. It represents the symbolic heritage element of the Pays de Buch within a park that includes buildings typical of other Landes de Gascogne "countries".
