"The Losa monetary deposit, Sanguinet: a monetary accumulation during Late Antiquity"
In 2000, an underwater survey near one of the bridges at the ancient site of Losa uncovered a vase filled with Roman coins from the 4th century AD. The deposit was quickly published in an article in the Bulletin de la Société de Borda.
A re-examination of the coins revealed the uniqueness of this deposit, accumulated in several stages from the early 4th century to the 5th century.

Tom Balbin-Estanguet, a doctoral student in archaeological sciences at Bordeaux Montaigne University, specializes in archaeo6numismatics. His thesis focuses on monetary deposits between the Loire and the Pyrenees during the years 400-750 CE.
